On November 6th, Li Xia, a professor of East China Normal University, was invited by The Collaborative Innovation Center of Western Ecological Security, Lanzhou University to attend the "Earth Science Forum" of Lanzhou University and give an academic report. A report entitled "Simulation and Analysis of Land Use Change under the Influence of Climate Change and Human Activities" was presented in the 2009 Academic Lecture Hall of Guanyun Building, West District, Chengguan Campus. Huang Jianping, director of Collaborative Innovation Center jointly built by Ministry of Western Ecological Security Province, attended and presided over the report meeting, and all teachers and students of College of Atmospheric Science, College of Geological Science and Mineral Resources and College of Resources and Environment attended the report meeting.
Report on the meeting, professor Li Xia focuses on the future land use change scenario simulation model (GeoSoS - FLUS) development, this model can take advantage of the human activities and climate change to predict the future land use change, combined with the land surface process, gives the future situation, global distribution changes of GPP, pointed out that climate change and urban sprawl's contribution to the global net primary productivity change. In addition, Professor Li Xia's team is actively committed to coupling the model with hydrology, atmosphere, soil and other models, and gives a lot of Suggestions to the urban planning layout
After the meeting, professor Li Xia line of western researchers visited the ecological safety of collaborative innovation center development global COVID - 19 outbreak prediction system, director of the center for jian-ping huang, a professor at the focus to the researcher explains center new crown prediction system of epidemic situation, and hopes to further expand the system in the future become a prediction system of epidemiology. Professor Li Xia gave full affirmation to the work done by the Center and put forward Suggestions for its future development.
